Hawke’s Bay Wine - Our secret is out

New Zealand’s oldest wine region is now the world's newest Great Wine Capital

When French Missionaries planted the very first vines in the warm, antipodean terroir of Te Matau-a-Māui Hawke’s Bay in 1851, they knew they were creating a little bit of magic. Fast forward nearly 175 years and the rest of the world has discovered wine’s best-kept secret too, with New Zealand’s oldest wine region now joining a small but mighty group of Great Wine Capitals of the World.

The pioneering spirit and sense of adventure that propelled past generations of Hawke’s Bay wine enthusiasts to forge unknown paths and build something new is a legacy that can still be experienced in every glass of the region’s superb Red Blends and Chardonnay.

Discover what history and fearless innovation tastes like… welcome to Hawke’s Bay Wine.
